Carolina Off Road Extremists (CORE) was founded by a group of individuals who
enjoy "Jeeping" and being outdoors. CORE is open to all types 4-wheel drive
automobiles.
Our Mission statement: We are a group of off road enthusiasts that enjoy the
outdoors, meeting other off-roaders that enjoy 4-wheeling, camping and playing in
the mud. We adhere to the "Tread Lightly" policy. We encourage 4-wheeling in a
friendly atmosphere while ragging out our rigs. We welcome new members, beginners
and veterans that enjoy the sport of 4-wheeling.
Our members range in age of 16 years into the 50's, and drive an array of vehicles
from old Jeep CJ models to the most recent models along with Cherokee's, Bronco's,
Blazers and pick-ups. We have a very active 4-wheel schedule, usually one run a
month. Past club treks have included runs to Moab UT, Uwharrie NF, Anderson SC,
Four-Wheel Drive Jamboree, Tellico (Murphy, NC), Rosser round Up in TN., Camp
Jeep in VA., Royal Blue in TN., Callalantee in TN, Gulches OHV Park in SC, Harlan KY,
Windrock TN, and Beasley Knob in GA and other spots in AL, KY, PA, NC, SC, WV, GA,
TN. We have our monthly meetings in Charlotte (location and time determined). For
